Creative Pinellas Hires Arts and Culture Outreach Manager
Largo, FL— Creative Pinellas, the County’s Local Arts Agency, announces the newest addition to their staff with the hiring of Leigh K. Davis as Arts and Culture Outreach Manager. In this role, Davis will work side-by-side with the tourism leaders, area chambers of commerce, local artists and arts and cultural organizations to ensure that tourists and visitors have the best possible experience of our vibrant arts and cultural destinations when they are visiting our unique and wonderful “arts coast.”
“Visitors from all over the country and around the world know us for our beautiful beaches and our amazing arts and cultural scene,” says Barbara St. Clair, executive director of Creative Pinellas. “That’s our brand. What we are excited about with this position is our ability to leverage that, and create more cross-pollination between the arts community, the tourism industry and the business community. Leigh Davis is just the person to do that.”
Davis comes to Creative Pinellas with a background in performing arts, event management, PR and community relations, including working for HBO and in the Mayor’s Office for the City of Atlanta. She is a board member with Florida Cooperative Empowered Economic Development and an advisory committee member for Cultured Books.
