Visual artist Candy R. Ryan takes physically hard materials like marble and sculpts them into softer forms: maidens with flowers, cats on windowsills looking out into the world. Her work is articulate and well-crafted, yet accessible enough to find places in both public and private collections.
Ryan has been awarded first place at the Tarpon Springs Art Association’s 2005 show and the Dunedin Fine Art Center 2011 show. Her marble sculptures are on permanent display at the Oldsmar Public Library and are part of a rotating exhibit at the Redstone Gallery in Redstone, Colorado.
She currently lives in Oldsmar, Florida and is a member of the East Lake Art Club.
