Entry Deadline: February 28

Florida CraftArt in downtown St Pete invites artists to submit original artwork for an exhibition that represents the theme: “Día de los Muertos, A Celebration of Life.”

This is an national juried call-to-artists curated by St. Petersburg-based artist Mark Noll. The exhibition will be April 6 to May 26.

Día de los Muertos, the Mexican Day of the Dead, focuses on gatherings of family and friends to celebrate and remember those who have passed on. It is a joyous occasion – a time to gather with loved ones, both alive and dead.

The theme should be expressed through the artist’s vision in a variety of fine-craft media, including clay, wood, glass, fiber, metal and mixed media.

The exhibition will be judged by Dirk Armstrong, curator for the Salvador Dalí Museum. Cash prizes will be awarded.
