Chillida, Art & Dreams Made with the poetic point of view of his daughter, the film was shot in eight years in which she approached her father’s creative processes. It offers a wide, first-person portrait of Eduardo Chillida talking about his beginnings in art and about the last project that he devised for the Mountain Tindaya of Fuerteventura (Canary Islands). The film follows the long process of construction of the Chillida-Leku museum on the outskirts of San Sebastian, Spain and presents us with the material process of production of his spectacular works in iron. Several of Chillida’s most significant public works are shown and many important figures, with whom the sculptor collaborated in one way or another during his life, appear in the film. Susana Chillida studied Film at New York University and holds a Doctor of Education degree from Columbia University, New York. Chillida, Art & Dreams (1998) followed her first film on her father: From Chillida to Hokusai, Birth of a Work of Art (1992). 1998 54 min Cost: Free to all Directed by Susana Chillida Music by Alberto Iglesias Produced by La Bahía Centro Audiovisual in collaboration with CANAL + Spanish with English subtitles
