Alt-19 Cultural Corridor

WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE CHANGE IN OUR COMMUNITY TOGETHER

CREATIVE PINELLAS HAS TEAMED UP WITH FORWARD PINELLAS, THE COUNTY’S LAND USE AND TRANSPORTATION PLANNING AGENCY, TO TURN ALT-19 IN A CULTURAL CORRIDOR.

Thank you for attending our four public meetings and sharing your ideas with us!

Over the summer, Creative Pinellas and Forward Pinellas held four public meetings in Tarpon Springs, Clearwater, Dunedin and Largo, and brought artists and planners together to share ideas on how we could turn Alt-19 into Pinellas County’s Cultural Corridor. We discussed questions like:

  • What do you like about Alt-19?
  • What’s missing from Alt-19?
  • How could we make it better?
  • What is a Cultural Corridor and what would it look like in our community?

The conversations we had with our community were even more fruitful than we could imagine. And this is just the first step! Taking the feedback we’ve received from the community, Forward Pinellas will go on to conduct focus groups with area leaders in business, tourism, the arts and urban development. We’ll be showcasing some of our findings at an event this October.
