Kheuthmy “Loy” Khambay-Correa (whose birth name means Grow Rich Gold Leaf) was born in a small village in Laos but grew up in Saint Louis, Missouri and St. Petersburg, Florida. She has been drawing and creating art since the age of eight and now works primarily on oil and acrylic canvases.
Khambay-Correa received degrees in Commercial Art and Film and Video production from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. She interned briefly with Women in Film in Los Angeles and pursued her love of art there, holding her first solo art show in 2007. Since returning to Florida, she has continued to show her work, teach art classes and work on commissions.
Called “Loy” by close friends and family, she says her art is inspired by Feng Shui, with each piece demonstrating how art can change the feel and energy in a room.
