Catherine Woods is a sculptor who builds pieces from architectural glass and metal. These large, public-art works aim to respond to, and transform, the environments around them.
Woods earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Maryland. She continued her education at the Portfolio Center in Atlanta, where she studied advertising. Since 2003, she has been the artist, founder and director of C Glass Studio in St. Petersburg.
Her award-winning work has been featured in Sculpture Review and Public Art Review. Americans for the Arts recognized Woods’ work at their prestigious art competition, “Year In Review.” Her public-art work has been commissioned by the city of Grand Prairie, TX, the Bradenton Downtown Development Agency and All Children’s Hospital, in Florida.
